Enact is cloud-native — your team accesses it through a browser with no plant-server install required. ProFicient is the on-premise sibling, recommended when network constraints, air-gap requirements, or regulated-industry IT policy requires local data residency. Both share the InfinityQS analytics engine and data model, so a migration path exists in either direction.
Typical single-plant deployment is four weeks: environment setup, data-source connections, dashboard configuration, and operator training. Multi-site rollouts generally run three to six months depending on the number of sites and legacy data migration volume.
Enact meets 21 CFR Part 11 for electronic signatures and maintains a tamper-evident audit trail that satisfies GxP documentation requirements. For lines where full on-premise data residency is required, ProFicient on-premise is the recommended option — both products share validated calculation engines.
Yes. Enact connects via OPC UA, MQTT, REST/CSV, and direct gauge interfaces. Manual data entry from operators is also supported. The data source mix can vary line by line within the same deployment.
Full data export is available at any time through the customer portal — CSV and Parquet formats are supported. There is no data retention lock-in.
